The river was adamant in its belief that finding the mighty ocean is easy, getting out of is neigh impossible, but now having merged with the giant ocean, finds that it is ridiculously easy to let its water drop evaporate, but extremely hard to find the right mix of minerals to close upon and form a pearl by itself. But nevertheless pearls do get formed , and that should be my motivation.

The world is your oyster. Find your mix and form your pearl. Whatever you do, Fall in love and keep yourself from falling out of love . Love shall triumph, just do your part.

2012, new year and I am finally here

A dust storm of dark imaginings
blasted past me, without respite,
But you gave me ,a glimpse of hope,
of vegetation, of quenching my thirst,
of carrying on, of getting back.

The sight of you, my sweet desert rose,
My pace redoubled, my horizon reddened,
distances melted, and with it my fears.

In the dust bowls of Chennai,
heard it is kutchery season,
my sweetest of the ragas,
here a lone tan-pura drones for you,
the rock shores of Pondy are waiting
to be splashed by the waves of your laughter,
but the tides seem to favor the marina,
for now, but worry not,
there are promises that echo
across the corridors of my hearing,
we shall meet at the oasis,
in loving embrace, time shall stop,
you have made me realize,
that the desert was the mirage all along.

I yearn for you,

The cystal clear waters
of the brimming lake behind her,
yearning to form a
reflection of her perfect form,
thrust themselves upwards, defying nature,
on the hills to flow down again,
a stunning cataract,
trying to take my breath away,
a sight to behold, but
straight into her eyes,
I do stare.

A beautiful tune,
in an enticing language,
from a land, I am guessing,
far far away, seeking
to knock on her perfect ear,
distracts me, but in vain,
the song carried by the gentlest
of breezes, caress her hair,
those silken strands ruffled,
but their matchless beauty unruffled,
and straight into her eyes,
I will stare.

Peeking from the corner
of my eye, trying to hasten
the descending sun,
a lovely crescent moon,
with his bevy of sparkling stars,
still no match ,I say
to her perfectly shaped pinna,
adorned by those dazzling drops.

Yet, straight into her hazelnut eyes,
I stare and she reciprocates
because, we see reflected,
not only each other, but
our unending love.

Finally, unmindful of the
beauty in the backdrop,
our eyes close involuntarily,
the sun gone hiding,
the moon full in blushing,
the stars to one another, twinkling,
we kissed,
a magical moment, depicted
in the perfect painting.

Today is gray. Fall has taken it’s toll, the gloomy clouds however bring with them the promise of a cleansing, just like hope twinned with despair, ruin with repair..
